Hello and welcome to Delta Mix Academy!

Our eLearning program provides you with opportunities to learn about food in society - the way food is produced, prepared and consumed - and challenges you to explore and reflect upon the value of food, and food culture and customs. It introduces you to the world of food, exploring the breadth of issues and topical areas extending the anthropology of food through to an analysis of contemporary and 'modern' food.

eLearning candidates will benefit from our easy-to-learn online format featuring matrix illustrations, technical explanations, multiple choice and topical review questions. Study areas include food heritage, whole foods, and nutritional foods, just to name a few.

As everyday consumers in today's high-tech 'world of food' our eLearning program challenges you to develop your opinions, formulate reasoned responses to contemporary issues in food, and make healthful decisions about your own eating habits. The foods we choose to eat and the opportunity costs we make in doing so is instructive to gaining a deeper understanding of food and our human livelihoods.

As you develop your awareness of the social, cultural and environmental contexts of food, you will become better primed to participate as an informed and 'food-smart' citizen in today's fast-moving globalized food spaces.

The Delta Mix Academy is a great place to embark on and or expand your food literacy. With many useful readings, learning tips, and exercises for greater learning you are well on your way to becoming smarter about food.
